I received an email this week from our corporate iPhone team with a warning not to upgrade our firmware to 4.0. Apparently this is due to email sync issues while using Exchange. There was no problem in receiving mail, but sending mail. Noticed on Engadget yesterday Apple apparently fixed this by modifying the connection timeouts. Checking with our iPhone team to see if I can proceed with the update.
Also learned that if you take your iPhone up to a newer version, there is no way back. This seems like a support nightmare. I have not researched it, but certainly there would be a way to return to a previous version. Could not imagine what would happen if Apple released an OS update that bricked 90% of the iPhones out there with no way back...
