Dyson (Plastic Fantastic!)

My wife and I purchased a Dyson vacuum cleaner from Amazon roughly two years ago. The vacuum was used maybe two times a week and has steadily been falling apart ever since. The hoses have all cracked and torn which has resulted in an overall loss of suction. To remedy the situation, the problematic hoses have all been wrapped in duct tape which looks sweet!
Sent an email to Dyson regarding the issue. I was instructed to call the 800 number and speak with customer service. About a week later, I did just that. Called in and spoke with Phillip. I proceeded to tell Phillip my situation while listening to vacuum testing in the background. Yes, they were testing vacuums in the customer service center, amazing. In any case, they were not willing to address any of my issues and said the hoses would cost nearly 100$ to replace. Considering what these units cost, they certainly do not hold up.
My thoughts: Will never buy, nor recommend a Dyson. They are plastic fantastic and simply do not hold up.
